Top Ten Athletes with the Best Suntans

 

Athletes are probably most concerned about their health because it is the basis of their livelihood. There are so many whose sports mean spending a great deal of time outdoors so a good tan without burning is probably a major concern. Therefore one would think that care of their skin would play a large part in their regimen. So in no particular order, here are ten athletes of 2009 who appear to tan beautifully and take care of their skin at the same time. 

 

1. Kelly Slater – Surfer- Hailing from Cocoa Beach, FL he has won at every major surfing venue and is nine time World Surfing Champion.

 

2. Layne Beachley – Surfer/Businesswoman- This amazing woman from Australia has won seven World Championships and is the only woman to be invited to compete in a men’s tournament.

 

3. Paul Casey – Golf – English born, he has a home in Scottsdale, AZ and one in Surrey, England. His Official World Golf Rating with the PGA is number 3 with Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson topping him.

 

4. Lorena Ochoa – Golf – At 27 years of age, this Mexican born golfer is ranked number one in the world, the highest ranked Mexican golfer of all times.

 

5. Todd Rogers – Beach Volleyball – Teamed with Phil Dalhausser, they are the 2008 Gold medalists at the Beijing Olympics and the current #1 men’s team on Crocs AVP circuit.

 

6. Kerry Walsh – Beach Volleyball – This two time Olympic gold medalist is returning to competition in August. After time out for the birth of her son, she is anxious to return to competition.

 

7. Brady Quinn – Football – Cleveland Browns – After attending college at Notre Dame where he was quarterback, he became a rookie quarterback with the Cleveland Browns in 2007. His publicized workout regimen keeps him in top form.

 

8. Jennie Finch – Softball/Fastball – This California native is pitcher for the current US National Softball Women’s Team. She was on the 2004 Olympic team that Sports Illustrated labeled the “greatest team of all time”.

 

9. Brian Ching – Soccer – The top scorer for the Houston Dynamos, he is also the first Hawaiian drafted for Major League Soccer.

 

10. Abby Wambach – Soccer – On July 19, 2009 this outstanding Olympian scored her 100th Career Goal in her hometown of Rochester, NY. With this feat she has joined former team mate Mia Hamm in another outstanding achievement.
