Hotel Fauchére is close to the Delaware River and the New York State border, northwest of New York City and east of Scranton. It was founded in 1852 by Delmonico’s master chef, Louis Fauchére; later run by his descendents and remained open until 1976. The Hotel was reclaimed in 2006 and took on five years of restoration work. Today there are two restaurants and sixteen fabulous guest rooms with among many beautiful things including marble baths, heated two racks and Frette linens. The hotel has meeting facilities now and is known as a “casually elegant destination with exquisite cuisine”. The Bar Louis is a bistro restaurant and is complete with two large photographs, one of Andy Warhol and the other of John Lennon above the bar. The Bar Louis has a signature dish called Sushi Pizza. Activities include golf, fitness, mountain biking, hiking, horseback riding, hunting, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, rafting and more. There are historic attractions, shopping and close to a 70,000 acre national park that that spectacular waterfalls all within walking distance.
